Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF) will revel with guests from across northeast Ohio at SHAKESPEARE'S PROM NIGHT, an exuberant prom-themed benefit event, on Saturday, May 21st at Cleveland Grays Armory. Commencing with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 p.m., the evening's festivities include a crowning of GLTF's Prom King and Queen, Tim and Lynn Pistell, a robust silent auction, entertainment provided by the acclaimed dance band The Bottom Line and a gourmet dinner created by Marigold Catering.

"At Shakespeare's Prom Night, there are no chaperones...just a whole lot of fun," said GLTF Benefit Chair, Robyn Barrie. "Great Lakes Theater Festival's yearly benefit has become a real favorite of the community over the past several seasons because it is a fun night out. I promise that this year is no different. Sample our spiked punch at the door, enjoy the extraordinary musical entertainment of one of our region's finest dance bands, savor Marigold Catering's fine cuisine and mix and mingle with Festival friends and family - all while supporting a great cause. It's going to be a blast! If you've never been to a Great Lakes Theater Festival benefit before, this is the year to join us."

Shakespeare's Prom Night playfully embraces many of the signature elements traditionally associated with a high school prom. Patrons are encouraged to don vintage prom wear from all eras or wear classic cocktail apparel. Partygoers are also invited to continue their prom celebration by attending an optional after-prom party at the Wyndham Hotel at PlayhouseSquare's Blue Bar. A special, after-prom room-rate of $99 (plus tax) is available at the Wyndham for patrons who wish to extend their stay overnight in downtown Cleveland. To reserve a room and secure the special after-prom rate, interested parties should contact the Wyndham at (866) 270-6768 or (216) 615-7500 and ask for the Great Lakes Theater Festival room block by May 2nd.

The Shakespeare's Prom Night silent auction features dozens of amazing and unique items, highlighted by weekend theater trips to San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC and Denver, a special batting practice experience with the Indians and other sports packages, a private piano performance with 2007 Grammy Award winner Angelin Chang, and other great opportunities.

Individual tickets for Shakespeare's Prom Night start at $250. Corporate tables for the event begin at $3,500. For ticket reservations or additional information, contact GLTF's Development Office at (216) 241-5490 x328 or jlaurenzana@greatlakestheater.org.
